Yipes! It’s been so crazy these past couple of weeks, trying to get ready for Christmas. I finally have all the gifts that I’m going to buy bought, and tomorrow I have to get into a wrapping frenzy! I haven’t wrapped one gift yet, and now that I think of it, I hope I can find where I’ve stashed everything!
We’ve been so blessed (NOT) with a nice big dump of snow, thanks to a wicked storm that blew through yesterday. We’re supposed to be gearing up for another one tomorrow and then another on Tuesday or Wednesday, so it’s safe to say we’ll definitely be having a white Christmas. I’m just dreaming of my trip to Vegas in February to escape winter for a few days, and have a little fun! In the meantime, why not play a little slots with me here! Here’s a nifty little widget I’ve just come across. It lets me put one whole section of our Funky Olive Shop right here in a blog posting. Now how cool is that? I’ve put in one of my favorite designs for the little ones at Christmas time, saying they don’t need Santa, because they’ve got their Grandparents — Nana, Papa, Grammy, Grampy, etc., and it’s available on bibs, onesies, t-shirts, baseball shirts, sweatshirts and even mugs, so they can enjoy their cookies and milk while thinking of their cherished grandparent!
So how this little widget works, is that you see those little arrows in the bottom right corner there? Well, you can scroll through the different products with either those arrows, or the little scroll bar. If you see something you like, you simply click on the black info button and it will open a new window to that particular product in my shop. I think this is way cool, and gosh darn it, it’s darned cute too!
I’ve made a pact with myself that I need to get some things done. I’ve been slacking off way too much lately, and it’s time to put that laziness aside. One of the things that Mr. Funky and I decided was that we have to add at minimum two new designs to our shop, The Funky Olive, every single day. So I’ve been busy loading up some new stuff. Christmas is fast approaching, and we want our shop to be able to offer more to our clients. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the newest additions…
So first up we have the cleanest dirty shirt you could wear. This shirt looks to be splattered with a little mustard, some ketchup, a bit of grape jelly, and someone must have ate my last chocolate bar and wiped their mucky hands on it too!
Then we thought we’d holla at cha boy. Cuz, well, ya gotta holla!
And for those fans of “Twilight“, we did up a design with the lion and the lamb. This pillow would make a nice gift for an Edward and Bella fan, don’t you think?

I’ve just checked and my little wonder plugin Askimet seems to be doing his job. He’s managed to nab three spammy comments. YAY! I feel my sanity slowly coming back to me. What a wonderful feeling! I think Askimet is my new hero! Well, maybe, but I’ve always been a sucker for a Working Class Hero though.
Arrgh! I was getting really close to pulling the plug on this blog with all the damn spam comments I’ve been getting lately. We’re talking 144 of them since I posted that last post about spam. That’s insane! I don’t have time to waste checking out all these email notices of a new comment to be moderated. And it’s like I get one from one spam bot, and then I keep getting a whack of them from the same spammer. That was enough to drive me whacko! I was desperately trying to figure out this wordpress blog and how I could activate this askimet plugin that is supposed to help with the spam, but I couldn’t get the damned plugin working without the missing api key that I finally figured out how to get. What a nightmare it’s been! Anyway, I have the api key, the askimet and a wee bit of patience and sanity left, so I’ll keep it rolling and see how things go. It’s not like I have a whole lot to say, but when I want to ramble on it’s nice to have a place to come and hang my hat.
