What a score!

I went to Costco today to pick up a couple items.  Yeah right, we’re talking Costco here!  There’s no such thing as walking out of there with a couple of items!  I picked up my favorite truffles that they only carry before Christmas.  Those scrumptious dark chocolate ones that are dusted with cocoa.  Mmm, they’re good!  Anyway, since I had dropped off a prescription in the pharmacy area, and it was going to be 45 minutes, I had to waste some time, so I pretty much looked down all the aisles, even the car accessories aisle!  When I was browsing down the office supplies aisle, I came across this awesome deal on cardstock!  300 pages, all 12×12, all 2 sided, with 4 sheets each of 75 different prints!  It came in a crop case, with a big accordion file that’s removable.  It was $39.99, so that works out to about 13¢ a sheet.  What a bargain!  I know I didn’t really need this paper, but how could I say no to 13¢ a sheet, and there are some really cool patterns too!  Check it out…

A new day, a new blog

Well here we go again.  The old blog is amongst the missing, so we’ll start fresh and keep fingers crossed that this one doesn’t get lost in space with the old one.

Olivia here, chief designer, author, CEO, marketing genius and all around do-flunky for The Funky Olive.  Oh, and I wash the windows and scrub the toilets too!  Yep, I’m an all around talented gal!  There’s not too much I don’t do, when it comes to creating.  I’ve got my own set of power tools, three wicked sewing machines, a shitload of fabric stash, paints, canvases, two computers (the laptop is specifically for designing new graphics for the shop and for when I go on holidays back home to visit the family every summer)  I’ve got paper and rubber stamps and all that fun kind of stuff up the yingyang for when I feel like paper crafting, as well as beads, bobbles, wire and findings for when I feel the urge to create a new piece of jewelry.  I guess it could be that I was born under the astrological sign of Cancer, and us crabby people are also creative crafty people.  Mr Funky Olive tolerates it without much comment, other than the odd, “more fabric?”, or “another craft?”.  So what if he has no space in the house to call his own!  He has full control of the TV remote, and what more could a guy ask for anyway?

So now I’ve got this new blog in the airways, I’m going to step out for a bit and do some work, but I’ll be back… if I can find the in door again!
