One thing that has always intrigued me in urban areas — well, really in all areas, is the colorful paint can art sprawled on walls, signs, mail boxes etc around town. It’s really quite a problem here in our city, as most of it isn’t the cool art that people don’t mind seeing, but rather a lot of gang tagging. But one day this past summer, Mr Funky and I were out near the
canal walking our old black lab Brutus
(laid to rest October 1, 2008), and we came upon this tunnel that was not only flooded from all the rain we had been receiving, but it was also flooded with all of this wonderful colorful artwork. I was so glad I had my camera to snap up some shots of it! I think the
Jerk with a Camera dude would be impressed with me for being shutter ready that day! Both sides of the tunnel were painted, and I’ve used parts of each of them to make some really
